FD adjustment

I'm having a little bit of a problem with the adjustment in my front deraileur. I'm running a 12-25 Ultegra rear cassette, front and rear deraileurs, and a Bontrager Race Lite 53-39 double crank. When I'm on the 39 chain ring and in the higher gears, the chain rubs on the front deraileur. I'm able to trim it a little, but it still rubs. Adjust it right? Well, I did that and then when I'm using the 53 ring, and in the high gears the FD trys to push the chain off crank side. In the lower gears, it rubs. At this same setting, when I shift to my 39 ring, the chain falls on the BB. Anytime it rubs, it's always on the portion of the FD furthest from the BB. I adjusted the FD a little by tightening the top screw 3/8 of a turn and it no longer trys to throw the chain off towards the crank arm, however it still rubs. If I loosen it, it trys to throw the chain. I took it to my LBS previously for the same problem after I broke the cable. It worked fine for about 40 miles. Is it normal for the chain to rub (I'm guessing no.)? I'm concerned especially since there is a definate wear pattern on both the chain and FD. Is this something I should just let my LBS handle?
