Thanks for the advice guys. I decided on sticking with the Starlites after all. I went into the bike shop to voice my concern and the bike shop owner punched me in the face. Then he and the other wrench started beating me with leather belts and bike chains. They kept screaming "you ****ing idiot" while this was going on. They wouldn't let up until I agreed that I'm happy with the wheels and I don't want to spend money upgrading the wheels when I'm too stupid to ride on nice wheels that I'll probably break...

So I'm going to head back over there in a couple hours to pick up the completed bike! I'm so excited!!
