I rode a LWB and an SWB over the weekend. The LWB felt stable in a straight line, but unstable otherwise probably because I had the seat pretty far back. The high levels of rake and trail also affected steering, IMO.
The SWB felt twitchy and quick but not unstable, if you know what I mean. I felt the weight was more centered.
