Well, to wrap this one up - direct sources have confirmed this is NJS-approved BB, but not of the 75-series variety (still Sugino though). It is laser etched by Sugino, and stood in the ranks of NJS/Keirin used parts for 30+ years. The 2007 list of NJS BBs will not include the MS68-AD, so that is why it has appeared in this manner.
I must say that Don Patrol Velo Garage really is a good shop as far as the discussion concerning their auction and their handling of my inquiries.

i had a problem a while back where they had accidently sent me the wrong izumi chain.. and he just gave me a new one for free and sent it express out of his pocket.
