I don't think it's the American factor, but rather the fact that just when you get a seemingly clean, classic cycling comeback story after constant doping rumors and investigations...it would be devastating to the sport to have that story be medically enhanced.
It probably was, but let's just hope it isn't him they're talking about so that I don't have to keep telling my son "I'll explain it to you when you get older" when he begins to start following the sport.
