Nope, I haven't been there yet but I have been doing some reading and as I mentioned my ex-girlfirend is there now so I am not expecting it to be as poverty stricken and dangerous as people have been led to believe. Her family is actually quite wealthy and with what I will be earning as a teacher I will most likely experience an improvement in my standards of living. This is probably a long shot but does anybody about the bike shops in Bogota? These are pretty cool too:
