I'd say just keep your pace. If the passer encourages you to go faster, just don't draft.
As far as looking behind, I'll do that if I'm heading into turns and know there is someone behind me. But otherwise I don't really care what's going on back there. If someone is drafting, fine. They must be taking a break or something.
