I am not sure what you mean by hard shift. The lever is hard to move? If that is the case then it could be the tension is to much to begin with.

I mean the chain will drop fast on this shift. I guess you could call it a slam shift. The shifter lever feels normal but the actual chain movement is differnet then other shifts. Its nothin that really affects the ride and I dont see it harming anything. I just want my ride perfect lol or close to it! Thanks for the replies
