Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

There is a flat area at the bottom of the steerer tube where the lower headset race (crown race) is seated. That spot to the top of the threads is your measurement.
