I recently saw a frame by Ridley that is made of aluminum but the chain and seat stays are carbon. The carbon fork comes with the frame. Other than the fork and maybe the seat post, are there any structural problems with these types of combinations? It would seem to me that there might be failures where the stays join with the aluminum.
