This is a GREAT example of "If it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it." There's no earthly reason to downgrade your hub to a solid axle.

A good quality quick relase (and Campagnolos are among the best) will hold fine.

You can get a 10 mm x 26 tpi axle fairly cheap, but wait 'til you try to price track nuts in that oddball size!

My very strong advice is to leave well enough alone. You would just spend a lot of trouble and money to make your bike less convenient, and then you would have to start carrying a 15 mm wrench in case you get a flat.
