DG - I agree with Pastor Bob, I also get in a funk in the winter as the opportunities to ride are slim but I will admit this past winter was better than most. Having said that we are in the middle of a heat wave these last few days, yesterday it hit 95 and with the humidity index factored in was equivalent to 122. This morning on my 6 am ride it was still 82 and 102 with the index - good thing it's only 10 miles. What motivates me to ride in this hot weather is knowing that we only have x amount of riding time before mother nature decides to torment us again with winter.
Maybe you need a new destination - possibly an ice cream shop @ the 1/2 way point of a ride? A little a la mode for some pie!
