Bikes: Surley Cross Check

Pretty painless way to try out bar-end shifters. Add these with new cables and housing to your current levers. Bar-ends are my favorite shifting method (when I ride geared bikes). Bar ends are nice because they keep your hands far out on the bars for stable steering. Lots of touring bikes have them for that reason. STI/Ergo systems are nice when steering, shifting, and braking all occur quickly, but they'e significantly more expensive.
