So Im riding along in cameron park. Its a cool place to ride as its filled with really steep short hills. Its a blast. Well, at a few points theres a mountainbike trail that gets close to the pavement in several areas. As im riding along on a climb This guy and girl pass me going the opposite direction (on MTB's)and they are giving m this disgusted look. I hear the guy talking about how road cyclists are ******* and simply must be gay since they wear spandex. I was pretty pissed about this. I have ridden the mountainbike trail many times on BMX bikes and such and its well worn and smooth for off road. So, I turned around and got on the trail. They were about 100 feet out in front of me by this time and i could see the girl trailing the fellow. As I cam up on the girl i Hollerd a warning that i was coming up behind her, and when she turned around her eyes were as big as plates. I went around the girl and she yelled at the dude. When HE turned around he ginda gave me a wierd look and bolted, so I bolted with him. At this point we are coming up on a spot in the trail were theres a tree next to a bouldder. The tree makes some kindof stairs in the trail and the suck away your momentum. If you go up the boulder its really steep but if you carry enough momentum its smooth and you can make it over the top pretty easy. At this point im kinda hoping the guy goes up the roots. Well we get to the boulder and the guy tries to go around the roots and he lost his momentum and put a foot down. I hit the boulder with enough momentum to roll over fairly smoothly. When I got over the boulder I kinda track stood for a sec and looked back at him as if to say "a$$". This is my kill story for the day. I know Road bikes arent made for that crap...but it was worth it.
