it's only a half-inch difference, but you gotta think about how it will affect geometry. your headtube (and fork rake) will end up steeper and possibly more 'wobbly', and your seat tube will be steeper, which is ok for a fixie. it may not be much, but small things make big differences, esp. with steering. your bb may be a bit lower, but probably only 3/16ths or so.
It's a 4mm difference, for one wheel. That translates to about 3/16", not 1/2". Which means the extra bb drop is only about 2mm, and the change in geometry is even less than the base of your exaggerations. Don't sweat it.
