You are aware that United Bicycle Institute has a campus there? I dont know Ashland well but i lived in Eugene for 10 years and from what i could always tell Southern Oregon Bikers seem to be divided equally between hardcore roadies and hardcore MTBers. That said i don't know what shops actually exist there but i would think that any voids would have to have been filled by UBI grads.
