I'm relocating to San Diego in a month, and took a trip last week to get everything worked out. I did quite a lot of driving, and was EXTREMELY impressed by all the bike lanes I saw. It seemed like all roads (with a few exceptions) were equipped with bike lanes and well maintained. Is this the norm throughout Southern California? Anyone have thoughts/opinions on what the biking/commuting environment is like? Thanks!
