I would not paint the frame.
I'd take care of the decals to preserve them as
best you can, and fill any paint chips.

Colnago Masterpiu 88 or 89?
came with Shimano sante or Campy Croce D'Aune gruppo
unless you got the Masterpiu America model, and then
the gruppo was Campy Corsa Record.

Very sweet looking ride.
