It takes time to get there. Riding with faster groups is one way to do it. And the other is to do intervals when riding solo. I do both and in the last year have improved quite a bit and get dropped a lot less than I used to. Oh, but I still get dropped :-)

Thanks for the invite. Usually I ride with a group on Saturday for 60-70 miles. This Saturday we are going to ride Hot Rocks in Rockwall. From what I hear it is a tough ride at the front as there is prize money at stake. So a lot of CAT 1/2 guys in there. I have no illusions about being able to keep up the entire 100k but I'll see how long I can hang in the pack.
