IronMac--those are the exact countries I am planning on going through. Starting in Istanbul and finishing in Cairo. I'd be very interested in hearing about your experiences. I have found few people who have cycled there, so I don't really know what to expect. I have traveled some in the region, but never by bicycle. Did you camp anywhere along the way?
