Milestone: 1,000 miles + a great ride.

I started commuting May 17 and on the way home today, I hit 1,000 miles. I have a 50 mile R/T commute that I have been doing about twice a week.

The ride home was awesome. There was a line of thunderstorms coming in from the north. The temperature plunged into the mid 80s and I had a 15 mph tailwind the whole way home! At one point during the ride, I was spinning at 30 mph. Man, I felt like a PRO! I did get rained on during my last two miles, but it felt great.

My next goal is to commute three times a week. Right now, mentally, I cannot handle back to back days during the week. So, I will attempt to ride in M, W, F.

Thank you, bikeforums, for inspiring me to actually attempt the commute!
