Are you using the DoubleShot on your helmet or bars? I read that the doubleshot mounted on the helment with the tripleshot on the bars is a pretty good combination.

I toyed with the idea of a HID light, and rolled the dice on the TripleShot. My ride into work today verified that I made a good choice as far as the light output is concerned. The TripleShot was plenty bright. On the dark portion of my commute, I could easily see the road even with oncoming headlights.

I am very pleased. If it had a 5 or 6 hour burn time and a integrated switch, it would be perfect for me.
