I have a 58cm c to c Saronni track frame that was made by Colnago. I have since painted it as the original paint job was crappy. The paint seemed to be 'thin' and had surface rust in places under the paint and was rusty where the paint had been scratched/chipped. The colour was the deep red, as associated with Saronni in his racing days. The Saronni decals incorporated the Colnago 'ace of clubs' and the BB has a Colnago 'flower' cut-out. The fork crowns and seat stay plugs are engraved 'Saronni'.
The frame is very similar to a Colnago track frame in appearance. I can't attach an image as I don't have a digital camera.
Other Saronni road frames I have seen from the mid to late 80's were all painted in a red or green translucent paint over what I remember to be a fully chromed frame. Quite attractive but in all cases, starting to fade (I recall seeing the frames in the mid 90's).
