Thanks for all the replies. I'm working on doing a lot of my own bike work right now because I don't know how to fix most components, and, honestly, what good will having a spare do me if I can't do the work myself.

IronMac: I'm trying to figure out the best route through Turkey. It seems like I have the most options there, and I've also heard that it's one of the most camping-friendly countries that I will be passing through. I haven't had my heart set on either route, but was leaning more towards the coastal way because I assumed it would have more/better scenery.
