Good point...but I don't ride clinchers on my road bike anymore so I don't really have a good answer. I would opt for the Campy Eurus or Fulcrum F1 but they are pretty much equal to the Ksyriums and about the same weight. Maybe the Easton Orion 2.

I did have a set of custom clinchers from oddsandendos.com that was lighter and very nearly as stiff as the SL3 and it cost between 1/3 and 1/2 as much. Custom built is the best option IMO.
