You are definately committed enough to justify a major upgrade in equipment. You know you'll be happy with it if you get it, because the $ issue will soon be forgotten. So, what is holding you back? Most likely a conflict between what you want and what you need. Only you can resolve that. However, I've never met a cyclist that complained about having equipment that was too nice.
