If it's an open-face stem, not a problem. I've run that setup on two bikes for years.

If it's a closed face stem, you might be able to wangle it in, but i really wouldn't do it. The amount you have to bend the face of the stem to fit the bars is considerable, and a broken stem is a nightmare.
