I'm thinking roue de fer sounds better. BTW, the 590 front wheel from the free spirit turned out to be a dud. Will continue using the original 597 wheel for the time being. Same innertube fits both.
Did salvage some fenders & a chainguard in pretty good shape. Will see what kind of psuedo-fab work we have to do to make the stuff fit.
