I normally don't ever have to think about them at all (or really think about weight transfers for pedal-related reasons). But, as I said, I've heard nothing but good things about the Time ATAC's and lots of complaints (reliability related) about the Eggbeaters.. YMMV.
Thanks for the insights guys. I'm probably going to go for the eggbeaters. Either the C or SL ones and get the premium cleats.
However, the SL versions have to be installed via an 8mm hex, which might pose a problem. I dunno if they're worth the price because of that. I think the C versions can be installed either the standard 15mm wrench or the 8mm hex way.
