I'm guessing that people don't draft you for very long...
I rinse mine out after every ride with the hose thingie on the kitchen sink -- just put it in the sink and rinse the pads real good. Every so often I'll fill the sink with water & Woolite and give the pads a good scrubbing and then rinse.
