hey george

both are nice bikes, have similar drive trains, but are very different...Mrs. M. rides a 2006 7300 comfort hybrid because of its upright riding position, wider tires, and heavier frame (she likes a slower, comfortable ride on asphalt)...she likes the fork although the suspension seatpost makes little difference...she calls this bike her "mini van" and uses a vintage hybridized peugeot roadie for longer road rides

the 7300fx has been replaced by the 7.3fx fitness hybrid for 2006 (I ride the 7.5fx), essentially the same bike with a new name. Lighter frame, lower riding position, tighter head tube angle...almost a roadie with flatter bars (5 degree)...9 speed cog set compared to 8 on the 7300, but both are 11-34T so there's no difference at either end

before looking at the 7.3 or 7.4, compare it to the 7.5fx...a better build with a better fork...the 7.6 has a roadie drive train, but the 7.7fx is a 30 spd road bike with a granny ( a bit pricey, though)
