Hey guys, wanted some feedback or maybe a push off the ledge. All summer ive been commuting on a Merlin Ti equiped with DA. Nice smooth bike that is a joy to ride...well im a bit bored and was thinking of selling off the Merlin to pick up an Angus fixed gear bike to commute on. Any considerations I should think of?

Actually not more then 30 minutes ago I was almost home and ran into a friendly cyclist that was trackstanding, so of course i commented on how i "never could do that" close but cant stay in one spot...he said he learned on a fixie - and i then added i was considering getting one blah blah blah.

any other bikes i should consider - i figure my budget will allow between 1k-1.5k? My commute is realitively flat with the one hill being the Dumbarton bridge. My commute is 60miles round trip.

dump the Ti and go for the fixed?
