I'm sure they are more modern then you are looking for but Campagnolo Neutrons have a nice low profile rim, and while a lower-spoke wheel (not G3's), still look great with a dark rim and silver or black spoke. I think Campy still makes a 32 hole rim (Omega - maybe) matched with a Record hub would be classic.

Thanks John, I seen a set of Omegas on ebay and was thinking about it. I would really like some Campy rims, even newer ones, however the newer ones have black hubs (mostly). Now some Omegas or other older Campy rims would be sweet
I may build my own wheels if I find all the right parts
