I just gunked it on and used steel wool to get it off. I applied liberally, let it sit for about half an hour and then took the steel wool to it. Put a lot of the stuff in the hard to reach places and you might want to drop by the dollar store and buy some cheap steel brushes to get in those spots. You'll probably have to do this process a few times....it took me an afternoon or so. I used gloves and did it in the backyard, you'lll want a lot of ventilation.

Why are you waiting on a BB tool? I always see them at MEC. And $125 seems really steep....maybe she's caught on and realizes there is money to be had in the bicycle market? I was quoted $125 for a paint job with clearcoat by an auto-guy, powder-coating should be waaaaay cheaper.
