This is becoming a bigger issue in many new york and new jersey towns, especially those that are close to 9w which is a major route for bicyclists. Many bicyclists that go up 9w often take roads that run parallel to 9w and lately I have seen more and more towns erecting signs that say bicyclists must ride single file. But I don't understand how they can do this if the state law allows 2 bicyclists to ride next to one another.
