I got hit by a JCB today!

For those non Brits, a JCB is a hydraulic digger, with a bucket on the front and scoop on the back

JCB

I was in front of it in traffic, and had just stopped at the traffic lights going on to Princes Street. I just felt a nudge from behind (like the thing you get if another bike hits your back wheel) turned round to see that the JCB was rocking on it's springs from stopping and the bucket had hit my rear light!

I just looked up at the driver and he mouthed "Sorry" and shrugged his shoulders!

I was so shocked I couldn't even swear. (For me that means I'm really surprised )

When I got to the office I checked for damage(I had memorised the name of the company), but found only a scuff mark on the top of my rear light. The sks guard it's mounted on wasn't even kinked.

I'm just glad he didn't let it slip forward a foot or so!
