Removing
1) remove the easily removable stuff
2) get an aluminum pipe, the wider the better
3) tap each cup out, working the pipe around the flange of the cup. most come out in a few taps
Installing
you will need:
2 wrenches
long threaded bolt and nut
2 1" to 1 & 1/4" copper pipe couplings
2 washers 1&1/2" or larger
grease the headtube, and the cup flanges
stack the parts like this from top to bottom
bolt
washer
coupling
cup
headtube
cup
coupling
washer
nut
Using one wrench on the nut, and one on the head of the bolt, tighten slowly. If a cup starts going in at an angle, back off , knock it loose and try again. the couplings do a good job of keeping it centered though. make sure the cups are fully seated, and then install the rest as normal.
total cost should be about $5 assuming you have grease and wrenches.
