Picked this Schwinn 24" Caliente up for $6.06 yesterday. My son wants to ride like me ( only faster) so I could not resist.

The head badge S/N Reads 1088 so I think it is a 88 lugged frame from Tiawan. Well maintained except the tires are rotted. I cannot read the size but think they are 1 -1/4 possibly schwinn S-5. I just do not know about this year and the tires used on the Schwinns.
Any info appreciated, also sources
