I currently use hayes mx2 6' rotors disc brakes. They were in use for about 18 months. Since they're not as good anymore and due to lots of commuting I'd like to get a pair of V brakes.

Now I did think of getting my disc brakes fixed and buying new pads and all, which would probably turn out to be at least a 50 - 60$ job at lbs, but I guess I could get some pretty decent vees for the same money. Could I?

Another reason of getting v-brakes is mainly because it doesn't attract so much attention as the bike with disc brakes on it.

In any case what do you guys think is the best buy for my buck?
