My office-mate and I thought it was funny.

Something similar happened to me this morning.
I was in the bike lane on a college campus and a female student wandered out of the dorm and started walking down the bike lane. This happens a few times a month. Anyway, there was a cyclist a few feet ahead of her and I was coming up behind her. BTW: there is a sidewalk about three feet to her right. As I pulled up behind her and then passed I said, "This isn't a sidewalk. It's a bike lane. The sidewalk is over there." And I pointed to the right. She just about jumped out of her skin. I guess she just woke up.
