I don't understand what your post has to do with what the cop did to lot's knife. This is not about how to treat a cop if he pulls you over.
But now that you brought it up, god forbid if we do not say 'yes sir' or 'no sir' to the cop even if he does treat us badly and even if they break the law themselves. Yes, let's all go along just like sheep because if we do anything to harm their fragile ego, they may use their weapon on us. But even if they do use their weapon on us for some other reason, you should still be polite and you should still say 'yes sir' and 'no sir'.
