So for all this hot talk between who's hardcore, who's not, who's competitive, who's not, and who can kick who and who's butt, the answer so far seems to be:
NOBODY out there uses a heavier bike, or even downgrades parts (like clipless back to clips). At least so far!
Point well taken about hardware longevity, though. Makes a lot of sense.
