You're right, but the market is flush with older steel roadbikes
with horizontal dropouts, and with quality equivelant to or
exceeding that of most modern off-the-shelf fixies. Of course,
this isn't practical for everyone, since some people aren't
interested in a conversion, no matter how simple it is.
