.................don't think it was orange,, not sure ??

I am convinced that what helped us make it is a pure electrolyte additive that we used for our water packs.. its called "elite" electrolyte add-in. It is a mixture of salts and minerals that replace your electrolytes without any added calories,, or sweetners. We had NO cramping whatsoever... I have been using it for a couple of years now. We Love it !!

What "ate up" our time was the rest stops,, wow they were busy !!!!!!!
and that nasty wind tooo!!

This ride was probably the toughest one yet for us,,
However a couple of years ago we had quite a bit of adversity as well!!
My wife "snapped" her seatpost about 40 miles in,, We made it to a rest stop, with the mechanics at hells gate. They said: "sorry we cant help you !!" Well we did not accept that answer. At that point I asked if he had old tubes we could have. He looked at me crazy and said sure help yourself,,,
Then I took the seat, and lashed it to the stubb of the trashed out seatpost, using about 4 old tubes!!!! I pulled them with all of my strength to get it as tight as possible to hold the seat down..ahhhhh,,
southern construction at its finest !!
When it was finished the seat kinda wiggled back and forth, but it was secure to ride !!!! I do feel sorry for my wife she had to finish the last 40 + miles with her seat soooo low that her knees were in her chest,, but we DID finish the whole route !!! We were both glad that it was cool that year, or we probably would not have made it !! ,,,, oh yea,, she had a upper respatory infection going on too !!
