After Ernesto dropped a few inches of rain on us plus blew every loose branch off of every tree, was thinking this mornings ride would be an obstacle course.. It started with dark clouds and wet roads at 8am, but with in 10 minutes the sun peaked thru and by 30 minutes we had bright sunlight... arm warmers came right off.. Did 53 miles with a weekly pickup group ride out of Colts Neck, NJ. It's a no drop ride, so the pace isn't too bad.. even when a few of us sprint out at close to 30mph we will wait up at the next turn or stop sign.. even with my 20 minute drive home I was back by 11:45.. on the beach by 2... so it was a good sunday indeed... looking forward to tomorrows 50+ ride, though I would rather do a 75+, but the group I will be with is not big on long distances..
