Not sure I see the problem with your cycling clothes getting a little dirty. I'm not anti fenders, just don't think they are necessary when you are out riding (after work or on weekends). If you are riding through the rain to get to work, then I'm all for it.

So, yeah, fenders, when necessary. Otherwise, just clean and dry the bike off when done. OR as mentioned, get a foul weather beater.
