I really appreciate all the responses guys. I think i'll end up setting a date a couple of weeks from now. Then go get fit, then if the bike's geometry works out for me I'll order it. I really enjoy this sport too much to get frustrated with an older less functional bike. I'll tell you one thing though riding an older machine really makes you appreciate the newer stuff.


Justification really doesn't come into play, it's just the nagging from my father. But the other poster was correct he is STUCK in his timeperiod, and i did show him where bikes start and where they go... Anyways it's not up to him. It's up to me and I don't have a problem with it, not to mention it'll be really really good for me.
