I spent the other day wandering around madison wi and just accidently wandered into one of the many bike shops. Not that I really needed anything mind you but there it was and suddenly there I was. There I was looking at a 2005 lemond maillot jaune frameset(never used) at a pretty reasonable price. It seems they are no longer being made and the shop bought a bunch at a good price. It is a steel/carbon frame. They call it a spine bike, similiar to the compact geometry that is now popular and also consider it a "racing" frame.Now of the many things that I'm not-racer is near the top of the list. That being said, I wouldn't mind a little more of an aggresive bike. Anyone out there have this particular bike or have an thoughts on it? Rationally I know that I need to go try one out but that is a sure invitation to spend the money burning a hole in my pocket. Of course I am getting some extra hours at work and the house is paid for and the cat is pretty obviously not starving...
