Bikes: soma rush, giro

surprisingly no one has yet mentioned the soma rush. i got mine
awhile back when it was still made of reynolds 631. i payed $340 shipped
to my door in switzerland from house of track, (i don't know how he makes
money ...maybe he doesn't) on the soma site its listed at $375. still i
think for that price its a good frame though i can only comment on the
631 reynolds model.

it has a nice square track geometry and is pretty stiff. the welds are good and
small and become even less noticable with a nice thick powdercoat, which i
would recommend, considering the paint isn't all that great. the bb shell should
be drilled if you're going to use it for the street and it takes quite a beating in a
daily use street-scenario. otherwise it also handles well on a track. it also builds
up fairly light, i think mine is right around 18lbs with phil hubs and deep v rims.
