Yes, and it is never going to be used again!
Seriously though, I built it b/c I needed/wanted a beater bike for short trips, errands, grocery runs, etc. The U.S. Open trip just happened to be its first use. The bike was getting built at some point or another either way.
As for time to build, it may have taken a bit more than 50 minutes, but not much.
